Job Summary
A company is looking for a Remote Teacher of the Visually Impaired in Virginia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction to students with visual impairments based on their IEPs
- Develop individualized lesson plans and accommodations
- Collaborate with school staff and parents to support student learning
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, Vision Rehabilitation, or related field
- Valid Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) certification/license in Virginia
- Experience working with students with visual impairments preferred
- Strong understanding of visual impairment strategies and assistive technologies
- Proficient in using virtual platforms and educational technology for remote instruction
