Job Summary

An educational technology company needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Upper Grade Math Item Writer.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Write engaging and challenging math problems to meet specific educational objectives, based on sample problems provided by the company's curriculum design team
  • Develop age-appropriate, mathematically precise explanations
  • Collaborate with math curriculum designers to meet project deadlines

Must meet the following requirements for consideration:

  • Have a BA/BS degree in math, although currently enrolled students are welcome to apply
  • Have solid writing and grammar knowledge, with the ability to match writing style to provided examples
  • Preferably have prior math item writing experience
  • Preferably have knowledge of math curriculum and state standards through at least Precalculus
