Job Summary
A non-profit organization that works to improve educational equality is filling a position for a Remote User Experience Research and Design Manager.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Designing and conducting various forms of user research (including contextual observation, user studies, interviews, surveys, etc)
- Ensuring designed experiences holistically meet the overall LEE member experience and integrate with the current tech ecosystem, platforms, and processes
- Serving as expert to partner teams around user experience for cross-platform level work and be able to clearly explain why certain decisions are made around the user experience by articulating impact
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Anthropology, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Human Factors, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field or equivalent practical experience
- 4 years of professional work experience and at least 3 years of relevant experience; non-profit experience a plus
- Strong understanding of the strengths and shortcomings of different research methods, including when and how to apply them during the product development process.
- Expertise in interaction design, information architecture, and/or data visualization
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate within a geographically dispersed team
- Deep passion for educational equity and belief in LEE’s mission and theory of change
