Renewal Underwriter Commercial Lines

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Commercial Lines Renewal Underwriter.

Key Responsibilities:

• Underwrite / Broker business for insurance companies and partners under general direction of partner and internal guidelines
• Oversee the evaluation, classification, and rating of risk to determine acceptability, coverage, and pricing
• Implement underwriting policies under the direction of the Management and ensure compliance with these policies

Required Qualifications:

• Must have at least 5 years of underwriting experience (excess & surplus lines required) with an MGA/Wholesaler
• Strong sales and marketing skills a must, business acumen, interest in continued education, and professional development
• Strong computer skills and ability to work with multi-faceted systems
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of UW Concepts, practices, and procedures
• Insurance license, CPCU, CIC or comparable designations preferred
