Scheduler Pre-Registrar

Job Summary

To support patient scheduling needs, the full-time remote Scheduler Pre-Registrar will manage phone calls and fax requests to schedule outpatient tests, complete pre-registration for patients, and ensure valid provider orders are obtained.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process scheduling requests from patients via phone and fax
• Complete pre-registration for scheduled patients and verify provider orders
• Utilize knowledge of insurance payors to assist patients effectively

Required qualifications

• 1 year of previous Radiology Scheduling or Patient Access experience preferred
• Knowledge of insurance payors, including commercial, government, and third-party
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Experience in a healthcare environment with familiarity in medical terminology and CPT-ICD 10
• Ability to work remotely with minimal supervision
