Senior Azure Cloud Engineer

Job Summary

Leading cloud infrastructure initiatives, the full-time Senior Azure Cloud Engineer will design, govern, and optimize Azure environments while mentoring technical teams and ensuring compliance with industry standards, all in a remote work setting.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and manage secure Azure cloud environments, including governance and compliance frameworks
• Define and enforce cloud engineering standards and lead end-to-end cloud infrastructure projects
• Mentor Systems Administration and Information Security teams, fostering organizational cloud competency through knowledge transfer

Required qualifications

• 7-10 years of experience in infrastructure, systems, or cloud engineering, with 5 years at a senior or principal level in Microsoft Azure
• Expert-level knowledge of Azure networking and security services, including hub-spoke topology and identity management
• Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or Azure Bicep) and CI/CD pipeline tooling
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• AZ-104, AZ-700, and AZ-305 certifications required; AZ-400 certification preferred
