Senior Backend Engineer - Python

Job Summary

Contributing to the design and evolution of the AI orchestration layer, the full-time remote Senior Backend Engineer - Python will build durable workflows, deliver features across their lifecycle, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build fault-tolerant workflows using Temporal activities and ReAct reasoning loops
• Deliver features from design through implementation, testing, and post-launch monitoring
• Conduct code reviews and mentor engineers on async Python best practices and clean architecture

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of professional backend development experience with expert-level mastery of Python (3.12+), async/await, FastAPI, and Pydantic v2
• Proven experience in building complex, distributed systems with workflow orchestration and event-driven architectures
• Exceptional communication skills for articulating technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders
• Growth mindset and collaborative approach with a passion for mentoring others
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred; equivalent experience or certifications considered
