Senior C#/.Net Engineer

Job Summary

To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time Senior C#/.Net Engineer will perform technical planning, software systems integration, and development of back-end applications using C# and .Net technologies in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct technical planning, requirements definition, and software systems integration while participating in daily stand-ups
• Develop and maintain back-end applications using .Net framework and MVC architecture, ensuring application performance and quality
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather project requirements and implement long-term solutions within an Agile framework

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline, with at least five years of relevant experience
• Expertise in .Net framework and .Net Core, with strong proficiency in C# and back-end application development
• Experience with RESTful APIs, SQL Server, and Entity Framework for database design and development
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and AWS, along with CI/CD practices and tools
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and experience with unit testing frameworks like NUnit or xUnit
