Senior Inpatient Facility Coder

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Inpatient Facility Certified Medical Coder - National Remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes for inpatient services and understand their impact on DRG
• Provide documentation feedback to providers and query physicians when appropriate
• Maintain coding knowledge and participate in department meetings and educational events

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or higher
• Professional coder certification from AHIMA and/or AAPC (e.g., RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC)
• 3+ years of Acute Care Inpatient medical coding experience
• Experience in a Level I trauma center or teaching hospital
• ICD-10 (CM & PCS) and DRG coding experience
