Senior Life Underwriter
Job Summary
A company is looking for a Sr. Life Underwriter (Remote) to underwrite complex insurance applications for individual lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Underwrites individual life insurance applications, evaluating medical and nonmedical risk factors
- Collaborates with financial associates and consultants to ensure customer satisfaction and optimal outcomes
- Mentors less experienced coworkers and conducts quality audits on underwriting processes
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Minimum of 4 years of individual Life Insurance Underwriting experience
- Approval authority of up to $2,000,000 for life insurance and $11,000 for disability insurance
- Completion of coursework towards ACS, FLMI, and/or FALU designations is preferred
- Strong understanding of the financial services industry
