Senior Medical Coder Certification Required

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Medical Coder.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform concurrent review of coding rules to ensure accurate CPT and E/M code assignments for maximum reimbursement
• Utilize resources to identify appropriate medical codes and generate queries for unclear clinical documentation
• Manage multiple work demands while maintaining productivity and turnaround time standards for completing medical records

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
• Coding Certification from AAPC or AHIMA (CPC, CPC-H, CPC-P, RHIT, CCA, CCS, CCS-P, etc.)
• 3+ years of coding experience in family medicine
• Advanced proficiency in ICD-10-CM, CPT, Modifiers & HCPCS coding classifications and guidelines
• Advanced knowledge of medical terminology, disease processes, and anatomy and physiology
