Senior Mortgage Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Mortgage Loan Underwriter to evaluate and approve mortgage loan applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate mortgage loans for compliance with guidelines
• Analyze loan files and develop counteroffers to meet member needs
• Mentor and train underwriters and loan representatives to enhance team performance

Required Qualifications

• B.A. or B.S. degree in business or equivalent education or work experience
• Minimum of five years of underwriting experience
• Experience in a leadership capacity, such as mentoring peers
• FHA DE and/or VA SAR designations preferred
• Proficient mathematical skills with the ability to perform complex income analysis
