Job Summary
A company is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to develop a new IDE for data science.
Key Responsibilities:
- Author, review, test, and deploy code in the TypeScript core of the IDE
- Manage issues and feedback from the user base to enhance the IDE experience
- Mentor and collaborate with other engineers while suggesting process improvements
Required Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of professional experience as a software engineer
- Significant expertise in TypeScript and Node.js
- Experience creating and publishing a VS Code extension or building developer tooling platforms
- Familiarity with workflows of data science practitioners, particularly in Python and/or R
- Experience writing and providing installers for desktop applications
