Senior Systems Engineer

Job Summary

To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time Senior Systems Engineer will build and maintain a cloud-based Web Dashboard application, design RESTful APIs, and integrate with internal platforms while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Build, support, and migrate a cloud-based Web Dashboard application for processing healthcare EDI transactions
• Design and maintain RESTful APIs in Java and/or NodeJS to serve healthcare records and integrate with internal services
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable data delivery and participate in code reviews and testing

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on back-end technologies (Java and/or NodeJS)
• Proven experience in building RESTful APIs and handling structured healthcare data
• Hands-on experience with Angular and modern front-end frameworks
• Familiarity with AWS or Azure cloud services and related tools
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
