Senior Systems Engineer

Job Summary

To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time Senior Systems Engineer will build, support, and migrate a cloud-based Web Dashboard application for healthcare EDI transactions, while collaborating on back-end services and ensuring reliable data delivery in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain RESTful APIs in Java and/or NodeJS for healthcare data processing
• Support an Angular-based front-end by integrating APIs and building components
• Write clean, testable code and engage in unit and integration testing for back-end services

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on back-end technologies (Java and/or NodeJS)
• Proven experience in building RESTful APIs and handling structured healthcare data
• Hands-on experience with Angular and modern front-end frameworks
• Familiarity with AWS services and cloud-based application deployment
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
