Senior Systems Engineer

Job Summary

To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time Senior Systems Engineer will build and maintain a cloud-based Web Dashboard application, design RESTful APIs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build, support, and migrate a cloud-based Web Dashboard application for processing healthcare EDI transactions
• Design and maintain RESTful APIs in Java and/or NodeJS for retrieving and transforming healthcare records
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure reliable data delivery and support Angular-based front-end development

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on back-end technologies, particularly Java and/or NodeJS
• Proven experience in building RESTful APIs that serve structured healthcare data
• Hands-on experience with Angular and integration of APIs into front-end components
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS/Azure) and related technologies
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
