Social Studies Curriculum Developer

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Social Studies Curriculum Developer will maintain and develop K-12 Social Studies curriculum, ensuring alignment with state standards and enhancing educational resources through collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and revise Social Studies curriculum and assessments aligned to research-based literacy instruction
• Consult with teachers to support the creation and implementation of curriculum, contributing to course development
• Collaborate with product development teams to ensure high-quality curricula and resources are produced

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; degree in education or curriculum preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, with a preference for virtual learning
• At least 3 years of curriculum development experience, particularly for asynchronous virtual learning
• Demonstrated experience developing standards-aligned K-12 social studies curriculum
• Strong understanding of social studies content areas and instructional design best practices
