Sourcing Category Manager

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the full-time remote Sourcing Category Manager will oversee sourcing and procurement processes for construction products, negotiate vendor contracts, and manage vendor relationships to optimize product quality and cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and manage the sourcing and procurement processes for construction/building products and consumables
• Negotiate pricing and value for products and services while building and maintaining vendor relationships
• Evaluate product vendors and market trends to ensure effective procurement strategies and processes

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or a related field is preferred
• At least 8 years of experience in Construction & Building Products category management
• Professional certifications such as CPSM, CIPS, or C.P.M. are preferred
• In-depth knowledge of procurement, supply chain, and inventory fundamentals
• Strong project management and leadership skills with the ability to negotiate effectively
