Staff Security Engineer

Job Summary

Leading threat modeling and operationalizing security services, the full-time Staff Security Engineer will work remotely to enhance Product and Cloud Security at DoorDash, collaborating with cross-functional teams and mentoring junior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Threat model, design, harden, and operationalize security services and controls
• Define and implement security standards, guidelines, and automated remediation tools
• Manage the lifecycle of security vulnerabilities and influence the adoption of AI tools

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in product or infrastructure security with AWS expertise
• Proficiency in Python or Golang and experience with IaC tools like Terraform
• Experience in improving infrastructure security posture in large production environments
• Deep understanding of OWASP Top 10 and distributed systems security
• Hands-on experience with root cause analysis and security-focused design reviews
