Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Software Engineer, Messaging Platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team to create and maintain the foundational platform for running infrastructure
• Deliver software to enhance the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of Kafka and messaging components
• Automate critical aspects of the event-driven development process and share on-call responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience developing internet-scale software, preferably in infrastructure
• Experience with asynchronous communication patterns and solutions, preferably Kafka
• Experience developing on top of Kubernetes or similar distributed systems
• Kubernetes controller or operator development experience is a plus
• Experience mentoring other engineers and navigating cross-functional migrations
