Job Summary
A company is looking for an Executive Director, Intellectual Property.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the intellectual property strategy for pre-clinical and clinical programs
- Partner with R&D to identify patentable subject matter and implement protection strategies
- Conduct patent landscape analyses and provide strategic advice on transactions and collaborations
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree plus at least 15 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- JD degree and membership in at least one state bar
- Admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office
- 7+ years of experience in patent drafting and prosecution, including managing global portfolios
- Significant experience in evaluating complex patent landscapes and risk strategies
