Job Summary
A company is looking for an Assistant General Counsel to strengthen its internal Legal function.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, negotiate, and manage a variety of commercial contracts, including vendor agreements
- Streamline and automate the contract negotiation process and manage legal workflows
- Review and negotiate data processing agreements and develop internal compliance processes
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
- J.D. with strong academic credentials
- Minimum of 4 years' experience at a top law firm and in-house practice, preferably in a start-up environment
- Demonstrated ability in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, particularly software/SaaS agreements
- Familiarity with privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA
- Member in good standing of a State Bar, with permission to work remotely as in-house counsel
