Job Summary
Leading strategic initiatives in Risk Adjustment coding operations, the full-time salaried State Licensed Coding Director will coordinate operational efficiencies, ensure product quality, and serve as a key liaison with clients and vendors while overseeing training and production.
Key responsibilities
- Direct and implement strategic efforts to achieve goals in Risk Adjustment coding operations
- Ensure production plans across training, quality, and audits meet client timelines and proactively address performance gaps
- Analyze quality reports and metrics to identify trends and implement continuous process improvements
Required qualifications
- Coding certification: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, CPC, CPC-H; CRC certification is a plus
- BS Degree preferred or 10+ years of medical coding/record abstraction experience
- 10+ years of HCC or Risk Adjustment experience
- 5+ years of experience managing coding production and quality/audit staff
- 3+ years in a leadership role with formal direct reports
