Job Summary

Focused on validating legal bill charges and ensuring compliance with attorney guidelines, the full-time State Licensed Legal Audit Counsel will resolve billing disputes, educate law firms on the bill review process, and analyze billing discrepancies while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure accurate auditing of legal fee and expense invoices according to litigation and billing guidelines
• Conduct detailed reviews of invoices to assess compliance with agreed fee structures and identify billing discrepancies
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote efficient and compliant billing practices

Required qualifications

• Five years of experience in litigation and legal billing practices, including knowledge of civil court rules
• Three years of legal bill review experience across multiple lines of business
• Proficiency in eBilling platforms and AI-enabled legal billing tools
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe PDF
• Juris Doctor (JD) in good standing
