State Licensed Legal Counsel
Job Summary
A company is looking for a Legal Counsel, Marketing to support its Marketing, Branding, and Intellectual Property initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal support and guidance to global Marketing and Product teams, ensuring compliance with applicable laws
- Oversee and manage the company's IP portfolio, including trademarks, patents, and copyrights
- Draft and negotiate marketing and advertising agreements, and conduct IP due diligence for strategic transactions
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Active membership in good standing with at least one state bar
- 5+ years of experience in corporate transactional law related to marketing/advertising and Intellectual Property
- In-house legal experience, preferably within the financial services, fintech, or technology sector
- Experience managing IP matters and collaborating with cross-functional teams
