Job Summary
A company is looking for a Medical Coder II (Surgery).
Key Responsibilities
- Verify and sequence ICD-10 and/or CPT/HCPCS codes from patient medical records for submission
- Navigate and research CMS guidelines, including LCD and NCD, while applying coding rules
- Review and submit encounters related to evaluation & management, procedures, and denials
Required Qualifications
- Active AHIMA or AAPC credential
- Three years of relevant coding experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS code sets
- Ability to code at a 95% threshold for quality and accuracy
- Proficient in MS Office applications
