Technical Data Steward

Job Summary

To support HR data governance initiatives, the remote contract Technical Data Steward will manage the quality, security, and metadata of HR data within an Azure-based data warehouse, ensuring compliance with enterprise standards and facilitating collaboration between technical and business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and enforce enterprise data governance policies and standards, ensuring compliance across the organization
• Provide technical oversight and subject matter expertise on data management, including source systems and ETL processes
• Build and maintain a data catalog, ensuring clear documentation of data definitions, lineage, and standards

Required qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in Data Governance, Data Stewardship, or Data Management
• Strong knowledge of Oracle HCM or PeopleSoft
• Experience with Azure data platforms and data warehousing concepts
• Expertise in metadata management, data quality, and lifecycle management
• Experience implementing data governance capabilities across an organization
