Technical Data Steward
Job Summary
Working remotely on a contract basis, the Technical Data Steward will manage the governance, integrity, and quality of Human Resources data assets for the HR Data Warehouse (Azure), ensuring data is accurately defined, secured, and compliant with enterprise standards.
Key responsibilities
- Implement and enforce enterprise data governance policies and standards while monitoring compliance across business areas
- Provide technical oversight and subject matter expertise on data management, ensuring proper implementation of data across systems
- Build and maintain a data catalog, ensuring clear documentation of data definitions, rules, and lineage
Required qualifications
- Experience with Oracle HCM / PeopleSoft data
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms, specifically Azure Data Lake and Power BI
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes using SQL Server and DataBricks
- Understanding of data governance frameworks and best practices
- Experience implementing data governance capabilities across an organization
