Technical Writer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Technical Writer to support the State of Iowa's Office of the Chief Information Officer and the Security Operations Center.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and standardize documentation artifacts for incident responders, including the Computer Security Incident Response Plan and SOC Incident Playbooks
• Assist in defining and measuring SOC SLAs, MOUs, and other formal documentation, integrating Key Performance Indicators for stakeholder reporting
• Conduct business analysis and project coordination services, including the development of business cases and resource estimates

Required Qualifications

• 4-5 years of relevant work experience in technical writing or a related field
• Experience working with diverse audiences and translating technical information into non-technical terms
• Knowledge of project management and incident escalation processes
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
