Job Summary

A developer of a free operating system has an open position for a Telecommute Back End Software Engineer.

Core Responsibilities Include:

  • Developing services, features, and enhancements primarily in Python and Golang
  • Working with the team on system design, implementation and code reviews
  • Delivering the full scope of a feature beyond the backend APIs

Required Skills:

  • Ability to travel internationally 2-4 times per year for 1 week at a time
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related engineering field
  • 5+ years experience with a focus on public-facing APIs and web applications
  • Proven ability to consistently deliver robust code to production
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Familiarity with Ubuntu as a development and deployment platform
