Job Summary

A workers alliance has an open position for a Telecommute Black Organizing Director.

Must be able to:

  • Oversee and support affiliate chapters in New York City, Seattle, Raleigh/Durham, Atlanta, and Miami
  • Guide chapters campaigns and strategic growth
  • Oversee growth of program and membership base

Must meet the following requirements for consideration:

  • Travel Requirement: Up to 50% with willingness and ability to work flexible hours
  • 8-10 years of community and/or labor organizing experience, particularly organizing in Black, low-income communities
  • Deep understanding of issues facing Black (African-American and Black immigrant) low-wage workers
  • Familiarity with the national organizing landscape
  • Agreement and alignment with NDWA’s vision and values
  • All other requirements necessary for this position
