Job Summary
A healthcare provider has a current position open for a Telecommute Clinical Documentation Improvement Liaison in Houston.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Obtaining and promoting appropriate clinical documentation through extensive interaction with healthcare staff
- Reviewing medical records and identifying potential gaps in clinical documentation for specified patient types
- Completing concurrent review on 85% of assigned population
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in Health Information Management, Nursing or health care related field required
- Minimum 5 years recent health information management, case management or other related clinical experience
- Knowledge base of ICD-9-CM coding and understanding of Diagnostic Related Groups (DRGs) required
