Job Summary

A staffing company is searching for a person to fill their position for a Telecommute Coding Specialist in Chicago.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Identifying, collecting, assessing, monitoring and documenting claims
• Verifying and ensuring the accuracy and appropriateness of diagnosis codes
• Reviewing medical record information to identify all appropriate coding

Qualifications Include:

• 2+ years of working as a medical coder
• Coding certification through AHIMA / AAPC is required
• Minimum of GED or high school diploma is required and will be verified
• Excellent written verbal and communication skills
• Technically savvy
• High speed internet with good service
