Job Summary

A home-based tutoring company is searching for a person to fill their position for a Telecommute College Coach in New York City.

Core Responsibilities Include:

• Serving as a college admissions counselor
• Helping our students craft their own story to showcase their unique qualities
• Reviewing curriculums, internship options, key extracurricular activities, as well as Early Decision (ED), Early Application (EA), and Regular Decision (RD) strategies

Qualifications Include:

• Minimum of three years working as an admissions officer/reader at a selective college; or college counseling professional in a business setting
• Demonstrated thorough understanding of the high school curriculum, AP, IB, all standardized tests including the ACT, SAT, SAT Subject Tests, and the TOEFL
• Expertise with the differences between public, private, charter, and boarding school environments
• Proven expert knowledge of Naviance and other college admissions software
• Expertise with all application platforms (Common App, Coalition App, and school specific applications)
• Proven thorough knowledge of the college process, different types of schools, resources, and environments
