Job Summary

This position is partial remote from our Franklin, WI facility.

The Controller will be responsible for directing and analyzing the financial activities for a business unit of the company. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

The Controller will prepare reports to summarize and forecast company business unit activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.
Monitor and report on the cash flow performance and needs of the company by providing estimates of funds generated by earnings, working capital efficiency, and capital expenditure requirements.
Continuous improvement of the financial processes through education of managers on financial issues impacting their forecasts, including identifying ways in which to minimize costs and maximize performance.
Oversee preparation of budgets, financial forecasts and strategic plans.
Actively participate in cost avoidance and cost reduction efforts for business unit, reporting monthly savings
Analyze product cost including materials, labor and manufacturing overhead and inventory / stocking valuation levels. (Standards & variance analysis).
Manage & execute all Manufacturing accounting processes for location and ensure month end close processes are completed timely and in adherence with generally accepted accounting procedures (GAAP)
Lead, mentor and set annual goals for direct reports.
Lead and/or participate on cross-functional teams to ensure the continuous, on-going improvement of processes, methods, productivity, and quality, while reducing costs
Ensure compliance of policies, procedures, and internal controls

Qualifications:
Strength in cost accounting, forecasting and budgeting at the plant level
Ability to prioritize work with minimal supervision and work in cross-functional teams
Advanced knowledge of GAAP
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and accounting software
Strong sense of judgment, decision making, and complex problem solving
Strong communication skills, both orally and written, especially communication of financial results and information
Strong attention to detail and high organization skills
Strong business and financial acumen

Education Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/ Finance or equivalent required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
