Job Summary

A content delivery network company has an open position for a Telecommute Database Site Reliability Engineer.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Design, document, and evangelize data standards
  • Build database schemas, tables, procedures and permissions
  • Troubleshoot datastore issues from hardware to accessibility on the network

Qualifications for this position include:

  • Periodic travel for engineering meetups (<10%)
  • Willingness to experiment and improve systems through iteration
  • Experience with scalable data pipelines and event systems
  • Experience with key-value, Elastic Search, and other NoSQL datastores
  • Expert with MySQL and other relational data management platforms
