Job Summary
A technology company needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommute DevOps SysAdmin Engineer.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Managing a large database at scale (we use MySQL)
- Building secure infrastructure and writing code
- Occasionally participating in on-call rotation for performance issues
Qualifications for this position include:
- Ability to travel to an in-person meeting with the entire team on a quarterly basis
- Experience managing large cloud server deployments that have seen real production usage
- Experience building distributed, failure-resistant architecture
- Experience with the advanced features of public cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
- Comprehensive understanding of networking concepts, including layers, firewalls, DNS, VPN, etc
- Proficiency with configuration management tools, such as Chef or Puppet
