A staffing and recruitment agency is seeking a Telecommute Editor and Proofreader in Newton.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

• Edit, format, and proofread scientific content in a variety of deliverables
• Fact-check a high volume of content and annotations against primary sources
• Ensure that content aligns with the client's medical, legal, and regulatory requirements and processes

Position Requirements Include:

• 4+ years' editorial experience, including 3 years in the pharmaceutical / medical communications industry
• High level of proficiency in using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint applications and Adobe Acrobat
• Intimate knowledge of the latest edition of the AMA Manual of Style
• Familiarity with general scientific concepts and ability to grasp more complex scientific applications
• Ability to adhere to various client-specific style guides
• Proficiency in conducting Internet searches (particularly of PubMed)
