Job Summary

A non-profit health insurance company has an open position for a Telecommute Health Insurance Grievance and Appeals Specialist III.

Must be able to:

  • Review a variety of appeals
  • Prepare the appeals for clinical review and be responsible for recording and tracking on a regular basis
  • Review submitted appeals daily for validation of the appeal

Must meet the following requirements for consideration:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 3 years of healthcare customer service, claims, compliance or related experience is required, to include 1 year of coding experience
  • Strong written and communication skills (written, oral and interpersonal)
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Proper phone etiquette
  • Customer service oriented
