Job Summary
A healthcare company is in need of a Telecommute Hospital Coding Quality Reviewer in West Allis.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Completing coding accuracy reviews to assist the coding leadership
- Reviewing coded health information records to evaluate the quality of staff coding
- Reviewing charts to insure accurate coding for inpatient, outpatient and day surgery records
Qualifications for this position include:
- RHIT, or RHIA, or CCS
- Associate's Degree in Health Information Management or related field
- 5 years of experience in coding in an acute health care environment
- Expert knowledge of ICD and CPT coding systems, G-codes, HCPCS codes, CPT modifiers, MS-DRGs and APC
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of anatomy and physiology
- Advanced knowledge of pharmacology indications for drug usage and related adverse reactions
