Job Summary
A healthcare organization has an open position for a Telecommute Inpatient Coder.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Working from assigned coding queue, completing and re-assigning accounts correctly
- Assigning codes for diagnoses, treatments and procedures according to the ICD-10-CM/PCS Official Guidelines
- Validating admit orders and discharge dispositions
Skills and Requirements Include:
- Travel 1-10%
- Three (3) to five (5) years of Inpatient coding experience in an acute care setting
- High school Diploma or GED
- Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) (AHIMA)
- Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) (AHIMA)
- Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) (AHIMA)
- Certified Coding Associate (CCA) (AHIMA)
