Job Summary
A staffing agency is searching for a person to fill their position for a Telecommute Inpatient Medical Coder in Portland.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Reviewing appropriate provider documentation
- Utilizing technical coding principals and DRG reimbursement expertise
- Ensuring all CC and MCC are captured during coding process
Qualifications for this position include:
- Must have at least five years strong IP Coding experience, preferably in a teaching hospital
- Must have AHIMA certification (CCS, RHIT, RHIA)
- Must have worked in a large acute care facility
- Must have experience coding critical care patients including transplants, spinal fusion, sepsis, and neurology
- Would prefer some Level I Trauma experience
