Job Summary
A national healthcare company needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommute Licensed General Surgeon Utilization Review Physician in TX.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Reviewing medical files and providing recommendations for utilization review
- Returning cases in a timely manner with clear concise and complete rationales
- Identifying, critiquing, and utilizing current resources to support decision making in reviews
Qualifications for this position include:
- Board certified MD, DO, with an excellent understanding of network services and managed care
- Current, unrestricted clinical license(s)
- Board certification by American Board of Medical specialties or American Board of Osteopathic Specialties
- Must be in active medical practice to perform appeals
- Post-graduate experience in direct patient care
- All other requirements necessary for this position
