Job Summary

A new lifestyle magazine is launching across Canada. It has fanfare and an exciting viral expansion strategy given it is coming from the team who built another well-regarded publication in Canada. The company is led by a passionate serial entrepreneur, who has built an amazing leadership team who are dedicated to building an authentic editorial style with a creative marketing engine. A digital magazine counterpart to the print magazine has been added to give advertisers a virtual connection to a larger, more diverse base. The editorial focus includes all aspects of work, life, home and family.

This role will focus on lead nurturing from a list of existing and potential advertisers, giving them a chance to secure brand building placements in the magazine's inaugural issue, as well as its rapidly expanding digital presence. These are all warm leads, including:
--calling previous advertisers, explaining briefly about the new brand, and then set an appointment with the regional sales manager
--calling leads from social pages and website, who've indicated an interest in advertising
--reaching out to a designated list of hotels, spas, etc. and ask them if they would like to receive free copies of the Toast magazine. Most of these will have carried the previous magazine in the past.
