Job Summary
A non-profit organization is seeking a Telecommute Medical Coder I in Albuquerque.
Must be able to:
- Maintain at least a 95% accuracy rate
- Access several systems to research medical records to complete coding
- Resolve any and all pre-bill edits and denials for assigned accounts
Qualifications for this position include:
- High school diploma/GED
- Must have any one of the following coding certifications at time of hire: CCS, CCA, CCS-P, CPC-A, CPC-H-A, CPC-H or CPC or RHIT/RHIA with achievement of one of the coding credentials above within one year of hire
- Minimum 6 months experience as a coder. Experience may be actual work experience or internships for recent coder graduates
- Must possess computer skills including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Must be able to use the internet and other electronic resources for the purpose of research
