Job Summary

A health information company needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommute Medical Coding Consultant.

Must be able to:

• Code all requested medical records
• Abstract, code and assign necessary demographic and clinical data elements
• Maintain quality and productivity according to client requirements

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

• AHIMA or AAPC credentials
• Minimum 3 years outpatient coding experience in an ambulatory surgery setting
• I-10-CM/PCS, E/M leveling, CPT
• Computer proficiency, able to research coding questions and utilize HIA’s internal resources
• High Speed Internet via Cable (no Satellite or wireless cell based)
