Job Summary
A non-profit education organization is filling a position for a Telecommute News Literacy Educator Network Head.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Designing the strategy to create a national 20,000- member network of news literacy educators
- Hiring and managing the network team to execute the network strategy
- Overseeing a virtual community and community building events
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Overseeing in-person community-building events
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of experience in community organizing
- The ability to operate effectively under deadline pressure
- Knowledge of virtual community-building techniques and tools
- Computer skills that include the Microsoft Office suite (particularly Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
