Job Summary
A staffing agency has a current position open for a Telecommute Oncology Utilization Review and Peer Review Medical Director.
Must be able to:
- Provide timely expert medical review for requests
- Review appeals for denied services related to current relevant medical experience
- Provide timely peer-to-peer discussions with referring physicians
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- M.D. or D.O. with a current, active, U.S. state medical license
- Board certified in a specialty recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS)
- 5 years experience in Oncology
- Board certification in medical oncology or hematology or radiation oncology
- Must have recent practice experience in direct patient care (within the past 18 months)
- Familiarity with automated processes and computer applications and systems
