Job Summary
A non-profit organization dedicated to grassroots political organizing needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommute Organizer.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Create strong, trusted relationships with group leaders and activists
- Identify and develop new leaders
- Recruit and develop volunteers and regional organizers
Qualifications for this position include:
- Up to 20% travel over the course of the year
- 2-3 years of experience in community, labor, movement, or organizing
- Strong understanding and analysis of power
- Experience developing and implementing field plans
- Ability to train activists
- Experience organizing communities of color or building multiracial organizing efforts
