Job Summary
A developer and distributor of casual computer games has a current position open for a Telecommute Principal Gaming Animator.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Generating animation prototypes and animatics
- Managing quality of animation output generated by partner teams to meet established standards
- Participating in strategy and decision-making as part of the creative leadership group
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- 5+ years of lead animation work or equivalent
- 1+ years in games
- Knowledge of animation fundamentals with additional expertise in specialized animation skills
- Expert with puppet/bone based animation, in 2D software such as Spine or Toonboom, or in 3D software such as Maya or Blender
- Experienced working with and leading distributed partner teams
- Experienced in mentoring other animators in sustainable workloads, career development, and skill growth
